230808 230813 Christchurch to Fairlie Farmers Corner Alpaca Farm The Church of the Good Shepherd Lake Tekapo Lunch at Reflections Cafe Restaurant Check in at Fairlie Alpacas Llamas Sheeps Lake Pukaki Fairlie Fairlie Bakehouse The Paca Shack Timaru Caroline Bay Beach Grocery Shopping Saikou Roaring Meg hydro scheme Fairlie to Queenstown Queenstown to Auckland to Singapore Heres the final part of the road trip As we were driving further south we saw more snow mountains and were so happy to see them Stayed in Fairlie for one more night to just chill and enjoy the farm life The experience was exactly what I envisioned waking up to see the llamas alpacas and sheep petting and feeding them They were so cute The only bad part about this accommodation is that the toilet bathroom is in the main house so every time we had to brush our teeth use the washroom or bathe we had to wear shoes and a jacket It was so cold so even though it was a short walk its unbearable especially in the middle of the night Personally I just found it really troublesome but for Yang he was scared to walk outside at night he said hes scared of yeti hahha During the day we would visit nearby attractions explore the town and when we ran out of things to do we went to a sea side town Timaru our host found it really strange that we went there Fairlie town itself has nothing much We watched a YouTube video to see whats popular here and apparently the bakehouse is famous So the next day we went to try it There were so many people I think its not bad and what we ordered was pretty filling At night there was literally nothing no food places at all We tried googling to see if theres any good restaurants but they no longer exist Those opened had really bad reviews So we went to the mini mart to get some microwaveable food and lucky for us the mart closed right after we were done Timaru was so different from Fairlie they had so many mega marts houses and food options We visited one of the mega marts and bought some snacks to bring home as well as a bit more microwaveable food Then we headed to Queenstown for one last night before our flight the next day That airbnb was modern well insulated and really clean Overall we really enjoyed our experience in South Island unique stunning and relaxing In terms of food you can never go wrong with the western cuisines The asian and fusion ones are not that great some was just eww but every single western food we had was delicious We were already appalled by the traffic in Christchurch and when we flew to Auckland for the layover we were shocked to see that its worse there If theres a chance next time we would definitely visit the North Island and hope that we enjoy our time there as well Chinsaku Cozy httpsthmatc col0E3566AE Jaden Christy i want you httpsthmatc colAF07E810 Lukae Dreaming httpsthmatc col052C3B8E Find me here Instagram teal_reels Tiktok modestmongoose twitch tvheart_reel
